Jen CK Jacobs
After serving as a salty sailor in the US Navy for seven years, Jen studied Design and Art History at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and worked for nearly ten years as an editorial photographer. Her photography and styling work has been exhibited throughout North America and is held in private collections across the globe; her clients included Chronicle Books, Roost Books, Martha Stewart Living, Delta Airlines, Food & Wine, Food Network and Kinfolk Magazine among others. Her work has been featured in countless publications including TIME, Lucky, Marie Claire, Oprah Magazine, Refinery29, VOGUE online and Bon Appetit online. She has authored several books including Instant Love: How to Make Magic and Memories with Polaroids and The Circadian Tarot (all under the name, Jen Altman).
An avid traveler, who regularly takes to both the dusty backroads of American highways and the serpentine side roads of Europe, her fifth title — about the wanderlust of taking to the road — will be published by Roost Books in Spring 2018.
Jen CK Jacobs lives, paints and writes in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with her husband and six children. She writes about spirituality here at The Fold.
