A Recap Of Unfold, Our Inaugural Holistic Health & Wellbeing Retreat

Today we are sharing all the details of our inaugural retreat, Unfold, hosted together with the Healers. We welcomed women to join us for a holistic wellness event with a transformational result.

Together with Healers we held our first holistic wellness and "woo" retreat over the weekend. Our vision is to achieve connection through intimate spaces where we can learn and grow alongside one another. Let us know where we should gather next! 

Here's a look at our inaugural day in Seattle, with the most lovely leaders and participants.  

Walking into the studio of Aran Goyaga on Saturday, Unfold attendees were greeted with warm faces, good vibes, coffee, and lots of fresh pressed juice and energy balls from Jujubeet. After a few minutes of mingling and introductions, event co-hosts Elizabeth Kendig of Healers and our own Founder and Executive Editor Amanda Carter Gomes welcomed everyone and shared the flow of the day.

The itinerary was simple and the group numbered around 20 women. This allowed all who came (and also those who presented) to take part in the breathwork, astrology insights, tarot divination, acupuncture, Gua Sha facials and one-on-one readings throughout the day.

We began with an intense and moving breathwork session with the gifted Josephine Edmondson

After breathwork, we moved right into astrology and full moon insights from Stephanie Gailing, and followed her session with a plant-based feast.

We enjoyed a beautiful and naturally gluten-free and vegan meal prepared by Bounty Kitchen. With full bellies, we gathered around the table for a live divination from our own Rory McMahon and then broke into groups rotating through stations of acupuncture from Julie, owner of The Pin Cushion, Gua Sha facials from Spruce Apothecary, and one-on-one divinations and astrology sessions.

We ended the day with a healthy happy hour that included snacks prepared by The Fold's Wellness Editor, Lisa Levine, mocktails made with CBD from Two Cranes, and Full Moon Elixirs from Rock Grace. Our friend Aran signed copies of her gorgeous new cookbook, Cannelle et Vanille - Nourishing, Gluten-Free Recipes for Every Meal and Mood and we lingered, and lingered, and lingered. 

On her way out each woman received a bag with a one-of-a-kind ceramic charm by Laura Knaub, products by OSEA from Spruce, and goodies from Fine Healing Goods

It was a day of fullness and connection that we've longed dreamed of hosting, and are grateful to our partners for allowing us the space, grace and effort to make it happen. Thank you to all who joined us and for entering so completely into the intimate day of holistic healing and wellbeing. Our goal is to host more retreats to expand our reach into your circles, so please let us know where we should visit next!
