This month, Stephanie decided to take a different tact with her column. She created four Stellar Design Principles for each sign to help you navigate through the month with more ease and less stress. Additionally, she’s written about seven key astrological alignments happening in March, creating an intention for each as well as sharing thoughts on the opportunities and challenges they may inspire.

The date noted is when the celestial event occurs, yet its influence may be felt days before and after, in correlation with Eastern Standard Time.

March 1: Virgo Full Moon
Catalogue Your Inspirations

The ability to see both the differences and the similarities can yield dissonance at first blush, but great consonance if we allow the space for it. Discernment can have magical outcomes. If we find ourselves called on to be of assistance, it’s important to remember that service need not equal sacrifice.

March 8: Jupiter Stations Retrograde (through July 10)
Find Your Inner Guru

Infuse yourself with a sense of optimism, seeing how the possibilities may be greater than you oftentimes perceive. All the while, remember the importance of natural limits. Expand your vision, zooming out to gain perspective. Wisdom resides everywhere, especially deep within you.

March 13: Venus/Saturn Square
Pruning Adds Value

A “less is more” approach may seem like a really attractive path to progress. Diligence around money matters may pay off in spades. Try to discover the teaching moments available in frustration, how it may reveal ways to rejig your approaches so as to optimize the possibility of long-term success.

March 17: Pisces New Moon
Embrace Your Compassion

Go with the flow, being open to what moves, touches, and inspires you. Sometimes finding yourself involves losing yourself — in your imagination, dreams, longings and creativity. Invite in more empathy and forgiveness, including for yourself. Remember that saying no is oftentimes more compassionate that saying yes.

March 22: Mercury Retrograde Begins (through April 15)
The Pause Has Power

This period offers stellar opportunities for finding new ways to communicate important messages. Look to the past for insights on moving forward. Going slow, and seeing what’s revealed in stillness, can yield great reward. Review the elements that led to communication frustrations to find the key to unlock the tension.

March 28: Venus/Uranus Conjunction
Redefining Value

Expanding your vision of what is beautiful may yield unanticipated results. If you’re feeling the need for more freedom in a relationship, see how you can satisfy that desire. The question of what has worth and what doesn’t may yield unexpected insights. Be open to surprises, including those that originate from you.

March 31: Libra Full Moon
Balance the I, You and We

We’re called to integrate our own desires with the desires of the people with whom we are in relationship. It’s a time of gaining awareness about our connection to compromise. Diligence and perseverance may play key roles in mitigating stress and helping you get what you really want. Balance passion, peace and productivity.

Fanny Singer and Alice Waters by Brigitte Lacombe

A Conversation With Fanny Singer About Her Mother-Daughter Memoir, Always Home

"It wasn’t that I woke up one morning and thought this is the book I needed to write, but then it was the only book I could write. I very quickly understood there was no way for me—as Alice Waters’s daughter—to exist in the public eye without acknowledging and writing that. Rather than feel encumbered by it, how can I talk about all the wonders of this relationship?"

Single Women & Their Spaces: Robin Reetz's Brooklyn Apartment

"I like to remind myself that in our behavior, actions, and the way we treat others, we are constantly telling people who we are and what we want. That sentiment extends to what we wear and how our homes look...I've worked hard to clear my own mental and emotional clutter, and I like to think my space now represents that same thing."
